Do I need to replace or upgrade my breaker box? 

If your breaker box looks like any of these pictures you need to upgrade your breaker box.

Don't wait!

1. When something stops working "and it will sooner rather than later" its always going to be very inconvenient and when least expected, and simple replacement parts for these old panels are not available very quickly, if they are available at all!
2. These old breakers don't always work like they are supposed to, for example if there is an overload the breaker is supposed to trip to protect the wire from over heating and eventually starting a fire, so if it doesn't trip it will keep heating up until the wire melts or catches on fire or starts melting the busbars behind the breakers and ruining the whole panel.
3. You may have to replace the entire panel at a time that just doesn't work for you, or doesn't work for the contractor so you get stuck with after hour emergency rates.
